S2 Children’s Storytime with Kirk Charlton and Brian Parker

BOLD is thrilled to host a special children’s storytime with children’s book creators Kirk Charlton and Brian Parker as part of S2: Small and Self-Publishing Faire.
Kirk Charlton is an author, creator, and artist. He strives to work on projects that will help transform others’ lives. Kirk started writing and illustrating the I Want To Be… series for his daughter Sophie.
Brian Parker lives in Beaverton, Oregon and, along with Josie Parker, is the owner of Believe In Wonder Publishing. Their lives and their work are devoted to sharing imagination and creativity with young minds and inspiring a new generation of dreamers. They are the recipients of the Adoption Excellence Award for Family Contributions, issued through the US Department of Health and Human Services, and are certified in bibliotherapy and in Therapeutic Life Story Work by the TLSW International in the UK. S2 features amazing books published exclusively by small presses and self-publishers at its reading, reception, and book faire. Buy books and swag, meet authors, and win prizes. Stick around after storytime for more fun throughout the entire day!

All readings and books launches are free and open to the public. Once a proposal is approved, to reserve a date, we ask for a $50 deposit to hold the date for you and guarantee a minimum of $50 in sales. Once sales during your event—books, coffee, wine, beer, food, or anything else—exceed $50, you get that deposit back. So invite your crowd, and we'll bring ours, and everybody wins!
