Author Reading: Reba J. Parker, The Peace Ability Mindset

August 1 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Free
8.1 Lscape Rebaj.parker

BOLD is thrilled to host a reading with Reba J. Parker, author of The Peace Ability Mindset.

What if peace weren’t just an abstract ideal but a modern skill – one with measurable benefits in your life? Imagine unlocking your full potential and cutting through the noise of today’s chaotic world. In The Peace Ability Mindset, Reba J. Parker redefines peace for the 21st century as a practical and deeply personal process. By blending peace science with personal development, she introduces the Peace Equation—Safety + Wellbeing + Interconnectedness—and Seven Peaceability Factors to help cultivate peace in yourself and your community. The Peace Ability Mindset turns peace into a doable daily practice—one that starts with you and ripples outward to transform the world.

Reba J. Parker is a sociology professor, peace advocate, and community organizer with over 25 years of teaching experience. She teaches online at the College of Charleston while living in Portland, Oregon. Reba loves tending her vineyard, gathering weekly with her writer’s group, and cherishing moments with her family and dogs.

Arrive at 6:30 p.m. to grab a snack or drink. The event will start at 7:00 p.m.
