1.24 Gudger Mandeville

BOLD is honored to hold space for authors Mary Mandeville and Anne Gudger to read from their beautiful books on love and life and grief.

What Lasts by Mary Mandeville

~a story of trauma, loss, and love. Always, love.

What Lasts is a non-fiction chapbook, just under fifty pages. The story of a boy loved and lost requires the use of both prose and poetry to be told.

The Fifth Chamber by Anne Gudger

Annie is pregnant with her first child and married to the love of her life. Then on one fateful night, her husband dies in an accident and Annie is left alone. Now Annie must navigate the trials of single motherhood, mourning, and learning to love again. Crafted with lightning bolts of joy and sorrow, The Fifth Chamber is a tender and lyrical memoir about the dance of loss and life, and how grief can make the heart beat stronger than ever before.

The authors will do readings, have a conversation about their books, and be musically accompanied by their partners. Books will be for sale and available to be autographed. Please join us.

Arrive at 6:30 p.m. to grab a snack or drink. The readings will start at 7 p.m.
